Respect@Work Reporting
Australia’s Respect@Work legislation requires that Mercy Health take preventative and proactive steps to eliminate sexual harassment in our workplace. This preventative and proactive approach is what is known as our ‘positive duty’.
‘Positive Duty’ means that organisations must take measures to eliminate, as far as possible:
- discrimination on the ground of sex in a work context
- sexual harassment in connection with work
- sex-based harassment in connection with work
- conduct creating a workplace environment that is hostile on the grounds of sex
- related acts of victimisation.
Respect@Work is more than meeting our legal obligations. We want to build and maintain a culture where our people flourish.
There are several different ways that employees can report a concern. Depending on the situation, you may report a concern to:
- Your manager
- An HR Business Partner or HR Officer
- A Work, Health & Safety Manager
This website, provided by Stopline Pty Ltd, provides an alternative way for Mercy Health staff, contractors and volunteers to report sexual harassment or any other unacceptable behaviours such as bullying, harassment or discrimination.
Stopline is a confidential, independent provider of disclosure services who will take full details of your concerns via telephone, mail, email or via the report form on this website. It is also important to remember that Stopline enables you to report anonymously. Translation services can be provided if requested.
